FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

KANSAS CITY, MO—The ºûµûÖ±²¥ (ºûµûÖ±²¥) recently announced its 2024 Public Works Project of the Year Award recipients. Winners oversee infrastructure projects which are publicly developed, owned, and maintained, and promote excellence in the management and administration of public works projects. These awards recognize the alliance between the managing agency, the contractor, the consultant, and their cooperative achievements.

“Recognizing the 2024 ºûµûÖ±²¥ Projects of the Year award winners is an honor. This year’s award recipients have shown what happens when you fulfill your commitment to making your community a better place,†said ºûµûÖ±²¥ President Gary Losier, PEng. “Public works professionals do so many things to advance the quality of life for all, and they don’t always receive the recognition they deserve. That’s what makes our Project of the Year celebrations at PWX in Atlanta so exciting and rewarding.â€

2024 Project of the Year Award winners will be recognized during the Awards Ceremony on Monday, September 9 at the ºûµûÖ±²¥ Public Works Expo (PWX) in Atlanta, Georgia. PWX is the largest conference of its kind for public works, welcoming more than 5,000 professionals each year. In addition to the ceremony, a video showcasing the winners will be posted on ºûµûÖ±²¥ TV on September 11.

“Each year, ºûµûÖ±²¥ receives hundreds of entries for our Project of the Year Awards. The most amazing part of the selection process is getting to see all of the great projects taking place in North America. These projects, whether selected or not, are all directed at improving the quality of life for our communities. I wish to congratulate each of this year’s honorees!†said APWA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Scott D. Grayson, CAE.
